Back in Rome

Father Elder and Silvana were in Rome for a week of Continuing Education in Canon Law at Santa Croce. It was great to see them. Plus the restoration at the Universita' is finally done -- even the courtyard looks spiffy.

Father Greg arranged a private tour. Our guide, Al, is a wonderful gentleman -- our tour was only impeded by various Senators stopping to greet him as we went!

Richmond, VA

A week's retreat...sort of! With a couple of excursions to Richmond's highlights thanks to Father Greg -- the Houdon statue of Washington in the newly restored Capitol, the Cathedral with another confessional put to strange use, a monastery with a garden and room to grow, and a trip to the James River and Berkeley Plantation (me...on a plantation??!!??!?!?!?).
