At Santa Croce, life continued on as normal while Angels and Demons was being filmed in the piazza behind the university. Little did the film crew know that they were being observed from the classroom windows by albino-monk-assassin-trainees, and that the place was crawling with real live Cardinals!

In Hungary...

Not much seems changed since the Wall came down. The brassica fields still bloom, the great Synagogue of Budapest is still there, right across from Melinda neni´s flat (though there was no Ford sign under the previous regime), the village still looks up at the Archabbey, and the saints still look down over the village, the fogas still swim in Lake Balaton, and the apricots remain the sweetest in the world.

It was a great consolation for us to be together at last, all of us. Many thanks to Father Jaki´s family and his community of monks, especially Archabbot Asztrik, for welcoming us so warmly.
